Secretary

Kielynne Banker, Rochester Institute of Technology, Senior Assessment Associate

I am a Senior Assessment Associate at Rochester Institute of Technology, where I coordinate general education assessment and work with faculty and staff to build practical, sustainable assessment plans. I also work with our team to lead the annual progress reporting process for both academic and administrative units and deliver professional development around assessment, drawing on over 15 years of experience in teaching and learning. I’m interested in continuing in the Secretary role for a second year. Over the past year, I’ve really valued being part of the ANNY Board, learning from fellow board members and contributing to conference planning and other initiatives. I’d love to continue building on that work, especially by helping develop the new website resource repository and strengthening member connections through social media and other channels so we can create even more opportunities to share ideas and learn from one another.

Alex DiCicco, Associate Director, Center for Teaching and Learning, SUNY Orange

Hi everyone, I’m Alex DiCicco, Associate Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at SUNY Orange in Middletown, NY. I’m grateful for the opportunity to run for election to the ANNY board. My prior experience in higher education assessment includes providing training and support for faculty around assessing course and program outcomes, supporting workgroups in gathering and analyzing assessment evidence during an accreditation self-study, and creating data visualizations of assessment evidence. I’m interested in joining the board to participate in service to the profession, particularly helping new professionals use assessment data to help drive outcomes. I’ve attended two past ANNY conferences (Saratoga 2019 & Syracuse 2018), both of which were excellent. Recent professional development includes becoming a Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate and completing the SUNY Professional Development module “Supporting Neurodiversity Across SUNY”.

Allison Holt, Director, Education Assessment, Mercy Universtiy

I have been at Mercy University since 2023, first as Associate Director and then Director of Educational Assessment. Prior to that, I had over 14 years of experience in Educational Technology working with over 200 colleges and universities in meeting their Assessment and Learning goals. I am interested in joining the ANNY Board to help further assessment work across the state and grow the community of assessment professionals.

Irene Strasser, Department Chair, Psychology, SUNY Cortland

My interest in joining the ANNY Board comes from a strong commitment to authentic and meaningful assessment and I would be happy to help foster collaboration across institutions. I value ANNY as a space where colleagues can share strategies and challenges, learn from one another’s experiences, and where we can critically reflect on our own assessment practices, including questions related to bias, inequality, and access. In my roles as department chair at two different institutions, I have led departmental assessment initiatives, including assessment planning, program review processes, curriculum alignment, and the development of learning outcomes and reporting structures. I served on the University Program Review Committee at my previous institution and currently serve as Chair of the Committee on Teaching Effectiveness at SUNY Cortland. I have frequently advised colleagues at other colleges and universities on the development of assessment plans and review processes. I have also served as an external program reviewer, and as a MSCHE peer reviewer. I have participated in an ANNY conference and virtual events. I value networking and communication and have experience in working on committees and boards of scientific societies. I would welcome the opportunity to contribute to ANNY in a more active role as member et large.
